ViPlay has a lot of functionality to offer for free: support for various video files, high performance and visual stability, subtitle support, skinnable interface, playlist editor, and more. Go get it if you want a free, user friendly, and powerful tool to play your movies.

Seeing that the ViPlay installation file is less than 1MB in size, it’s safe to say that it will take little time to download it onto your machine. Going through the installation process takes little time as well; all you have to do is run the aforementioned file and click through the onscreen instructions presented by a simple setup wizard. Please note that ViPlay requires DirectX 8 or newer to run.

You can change the way ViPlay looks by changing its skin. By default, the application comes with a Base Skin that has a Winamp Classic feel. To get more skins, you need to check out the dedicated Skins for ViPlay page on the application’s official website. You can also get the ConvertIt! application and convert skins from other media players and use them with ViPlay.

Using ViPlay is the same as using any other media player: load the video file, launch the playback process. If you want to view more than one video, load multiple videos in the Playlist Editor and let the application play and automatically move from one video to another. It must be mentioned here that ViPlay uses overlaying technology for a faster and more efficient way of video playback. It must also be mentioned that ViPlay offers all the extra features you would expect from a media player: subtitles, capture frame, digital zoom, bookmarks, color controls, playback rate, and more.
